"I thought you spoke Chinese"

The conversation between newly 6yr. old brother "I" and 3yr. old little sister "C":

I~"I thought C spoke Chinese."

C~"I do...Ni hao...see I can speak Chinese."

C then proceeds to sing the songs from Big Bird Goes to China....the Mandarin parts. Between verses she says, "I speak Chinese!"
