~I used 2 large, packmate like bags...you know the one's you can squish the air out of (I got ours at Target...cheap and worked beautifully). I packed all of the baby's clothes in lg. ziplocks. Really, honestly ask yourself...'Can I live without this for 2 weeks'...you'd be surprised how much you can leave behind. You can pretty much get anything you desperately need in China (except medicines and probably adult clothing). Choose re-usable over convenient disposable things.

Hi, OverFlowing: It's skye from RQ's site. Your list rocks! Really complete and well thought out.
Have a couple of questions on a few items: You wrote on one line "mouse, serum" and later wrote "2 travel t/t." I must be tired because I stared at these for 10 mins and am clueless to what they mean. :-D
Also, what is Bonine? Have never heard of it. You can email me directly, if you want.
LOL!!! It's suppose to be hair mousse and serum is another hair product I use. T/T stands for toilet tissues (toilet paper)...old habits dye hard...I use to be an office manager for a janitorial supply company and that's what toilet paper is technically called :) Bonine is like Dramamine for motion sickness except you don't have the yucky dazed feeling the next day. My dr. recommended it and I loved it....I had no motion sickness and I felt great...not groggy at all!
Hope this helps :) ~Overflowing
HI, Denise from RQ...great list! I think that I need to start over...we are waiting on TA and I keep packing and repacking but I still am bringing too many clothes and toys for our daughter. I guess that because she is 2 I feel the need to bring more toys and such...what do you think, should I skimp there and buy stuff in her province for her to play with?
Hi. I saw your link on RQ.
I thought I was a good packer... but, I am seriously impressed with all that you got into 1 duffle bag and backpack. Amazing! I'm going to have to print this up and put it somewhere it won't get lost in our 2+ year wait! Thanks for sharing!
Overflowing,
Did you travel alone? I can't imagine those bags holding enough for two adults and baby, too.
Impressive, nonetheless!
Well, you know I've seen your blog, but now it's time for us to travel and I am going to use your list for sure! Very nice!!!
