So disappointed

Not that I have a whole lot of respect for Disney but I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with them! I sat down to watch The Princess and the Frog with my kiddos tonight and I was so sad. It's an awful, awful movie. The black magic and voodoo is horrific...I honestly can't believe what I just watched. Gggrrrr...I was so excited that Disney finally made a movie with a black princess. My little girl was so excited that there was a Disney princess that looked like her. Honestly, was any of that necessary??? It could have been done so well.....

Okay, I'm done venting...for now anyways. Oh, I'm so irritated that they would produce a movie like that. I recognize that MANY of the Disney movies have an element of magic...some worse than others but this is by far the worst I've ever seen...it's so dark...so of the ENEMY!!!! Okay, I'm really done now......

Resurrection Day!

What joy it is to celebrate Resurrection Day when your children are old enough to truly understand WHY we celebrate! What a gift to listen to my baby C explain why Jesus had to die on the cross and why He rose...'all so I could live in heaven with Him mama'...the thought that she may have never experienced the real truth if she was still in the orphanage is so amazing to me. Such a gift!!!!

Next Resurrection Day our baby boy will be home and he will learn all about what his Jesus did for him....YAY...CAN'T WAIT!

I am missing my boy so much!!! Ohhh, how I want to hold him and love on him! I got caught up watching gotcha videos last night. Let's just say...for the record...DON'T watch gotcha videos while you are waiting!! WHY do we do that to ourselves...NOW don't you all be thinking I'm a crazy person because I KNOW you've all done it too :) The hardest one's to watch were the kiddos around 4-6 years old.

These peanuts are old enough to grasp what's happening and watching them grieve has rocked me to the core!! You know...when you are adopting a baby or even a toddler, they really aren't sure what's happening. They initially scream because they are being handed to a stranger...their screams & cries are not because they are grieving the loss of their 'family' although those cries come shortly after. But with an older child, they can grasp the fact that the nanny or foster mama that is walking out the door will never come back. They are instantly abandoned (again) and in the arms of someone they have never met but is suppose to be their forever mama. They are told to be happy and not cry...'don't you see, this is your mama now'.

Every time I really think about what these precious children have to go through (young or old), I fall apart. I get that the reality is this has to happen for them to come home but it's still very hard to accept. I fear that I am going to be a wreck when we finally get to meet our baby boy...the emotions of unbelievable joy and sadness all at the same time...how am I going to hold it together so I don't scare him????

How is it possible...

This just cracks me up every time baby C does this. How is it possible that this little peanut natually squats like this. Now, she came home to us at 14 months old barely walking. It's hysterical...it's in her gene's!!! And if you notice, she is squatting and the heals of her feet are hanging off the back of the bench...CRAZY!!! We've studied her squat and let me just say that white girls can't squat!!

First things first...why are we having this raffle?? Because we are in great need to raise ALL the funds needed to bring our sweet son home. Our precious son who is waiting for us in Fujian, China. An adorable child of God who needs his FOREVER family to love on him, to teach him all about Jesu, to care for him, to get him the medical attention he needs, & to spoil him rotten :p

Okay, here's the skinny....it's gotten a little crazy. We have ONE Grand Prize (Apple IPAD) and TWELVE additional prizes and ONE GIVEAWAY item. Scroll down to my other posts to read about each of these amazing prizes and about the precious people who have donated them!!!

Here's how the tickets work:

We will hold TWO drawings.

Drawing # One is for the Grand Prize Ipad. Everyone who donates will be entered into that drawing according to how many tickets they purchased.

Drawing # Two will be for the remaining raffle items.

Everyone who donates will ALSO be entered into drawing #2 according to how many tickets they purchased.
