Rejoicing & Grieving

There are hardly words that can express our hearts right now! Our hearts are rejoicing for our beautiful friend, Donna. You see, today she is sitting at the feet of our precious Jesus who chose to heal her sick body by calling her home. Our hearts are grieving because we will miss her so much but we are rejoicing that we will see her again! We are grieving because her precious husband & 3 very young babies have to live this earthly life without this amazing mama. Oh, how I am going to miss her beautiful smiling face. Never was there a time that praise of our Lord wasn't flowing from her lips...even through all of this!! She was and still is a beautiful example of our Jesus.

Please, please pray for this amazing family. They are very precious to us and this hurts so much! But our God's plans are perfect and they have peace in knowing they will be with their mama, again!

My 5 year old photographer!!!

We were outside playing today and I thought it was a good idea to play around with my camera. Would you believe we bought our Rebel over a year ago and I'm still trying to figure out all of the advanced features. My little 'I' asked if he could take some pictures and this is what he did...I'd say he's a natural!! As much as I hate pictures of myself, I LOVE pictures of my kiddos. I am actually really thankful to have these...it seems I'm always on the other side of the camera.

YES on Propositon 8 California

The implications of Proposition 8 failing are HUGE!!!! We need to vote YES on Proposition 8 to protect marriage...marriage as the bibles defines between an MAN and a WOMAN!! Watch this very important video. If Prop. 8 fails, our parental rights to educate and raise our children according to how WE choose will be ripped away from us. Nothing is as it seems and the homosexual community's agenda is not simply a sexual preference but an agenda to destroy biblical beliefs and principles...to implement a 'tolerance' that is far from biblical truths! As Christians, we need to be educating others on this proposition. It has been purposely written to confuse voters...surprise, surprise!! (don't forget to scroll down and pause my site music)

Potty Training ~ Round 2

Something tells me we are going to have many "rounds" with 2 girls to potty train. Remember how we...ehhheemmm...IIIII began potty training the girls (with daddy's encouragement ;) a month ago. Soooo, that last like 2 days and I couldn't take living in the bathroom all day long and reading every children's story known to man and still no potty!!! So, I figured I'd give it a few more months.

Well, it looks like little miss 'C' is going to potty train herself...yippee!!! It all started at our homeschool co-op classes. The last 2 times they said she used the potty and 'S' even used it today. As soon as we got home, 'C' said she needed to go potty and sure enough she did. I put her in pink panties and she kept saying, "Thank you mama...thank you for my pink panties...wook at me...wook at me...I have pink panties." She was sooo excited! Maybe if I get her princess panties that will seal the deal...you can't tinkle on the princesses :) Oh, my silly girls!

Too Long...

It has been far too long since I've posted. I'm sorry ;)

In all honesty, I haven't been sure what I've wanted to say. Our hearts are so heavy for so many of our sweet friends. There are some major trials that they are having to endure...life and death trials for so many. The physical, emotional, and spiritual battle is very heavy right now! It has prompted us to pray virtually without ceasing. With every thought of these families, we are praying!! With every thought of these families, we are asking the Lord how can we be changed...how can we be used...we are reminded of the very blessings we take for granted every moment. It has caused us to slow down a bit and focus on all the beauty the Lord has given our family. Lord, we are so undeserving!

Sit quietly and listen to the words of this song...so sweet...so true!

You guys tired of seeing pictures of my peanuts? I'm turning into one of those old lady's that carries a wallet insert with thousands of pictures and holds you hostage until you've looked at all of them. :)

Our Twins

You would not believe how many people genuinely ask if the girls are twins. It's hilarious...I've started saying 'yes, they are'....just to see their reaction. They are 3.5months apart. I guess it is a little sneaky that I dress them alike ;)

We were having fun taking pictures the other day...look how adorable they are!! They may not look like twins but they act like twins in every way. It's crazy...God prepared them to be 'twin sisters' even though they were separated for the first 14months of their lives.

Happy Birthday Sweet Princess

August 6 - Our baby girl turned 2! Yes...another birthday...4 of our kids are within 5 weeks of each other and daddy ends the birthday dash on Sept. 18. It's crazy, exhausting but lots of fun!

Our little 'S' has quite the story...she was our surprise baby...yes, surprise adoptions do happen. We were fostering for our agency to pass the time as we waited for the referral of our sweet C (We needed some babies to love on :). LOTS of amazing miracles later....S's amazing bmom was certain that we were S's parents and she wanted us to adopt her. She was fully aware that we were waiting for C to come home but she had so much peace with S being our daughter. We were so blown away by her confidence during this difficult situation. We are blessed by this amazing mama and love her so much. We are able to have an open relationship with her and it's absolutelty priceless!!

S is an unbelievably happy little girl. She has the best sense of humor and is just about as ornery as they come...she is such a blast. She has a precious, precious heart and has the sweetest personality!! The joy and laughter she brings to our house is amazing! Baby girl, we love you so much and can't imagine our lives without you. You are our perfect little peanut...our perfect little miracle!
