I just LOVE this song...the first few verses speak so sweetly to my heart. My Jesus is the Calmer of the sea...the Calmer of my heart. In the moments of scary uncertainty, how awesome is it that we can cling to our Lord and He is faithful to calm our hearts. I simply can't fathom His love for me!!! Enjoy this beautiful song...hoping for pathology results tomorrow :)

Saturday Update...

P's procedure went well today. They did remove some more stuff...not a very technical term, I know. The GI dr. was pretty sure it was part of the original precancerous polyp. She feels it was leftover/missed the first time...whatever that means. When asked if it was new growth, she said it was highly unlikely. Soooo, they removed it and biopsied the surrounding area.

Now we wait for the pathology report...uugghh!! I was pretty sure that baby C's trial stored up plenty of the "waiting lesson" we needed to learn but I guess not :) Eventhough the molding and shaping isn't always fun & sometimes extremely painful, it's totally WORTH IT!! I'm so thankful our God see's fit to change us because I need a lot of work & I don't want to stay the way I am...make me more like you Lord!!

We are a little caught-off guard by today's findings but we are absolutely well, totally peaceful, completely trusting, & definitely hopeful!!! Love you guys...THANK YOU for continually praying for our family!

Saturday....

Tomorrow P will be having another out-patient procedure...ugh. The dr. will be going back in and checking for any new growth and biopsying the area for cancer cells.

My faithful prayer warriors, please be praying for tomorrow...for wisdom for Dr. Bali, for NO cancer, but if there is...that she would find it!!

My precious Lord, I put my trust in You ALONE! Protect my sweetie and continue to give us Your amazing peace and wisdom.

Nothin' new...yet

Today marks a month...YES, a MONTH...since my hubby was laid-off and the health journey began. We have no new news for either situation.

So, we continue to wait on the Lord and trust with our WHOLE hearts. His plans are far greater than ours and His timing is also perfectly His...not ours ;) So...we willingly wait!

Front Loading washers

We bought a front loading washer a year ago and I've always been a little scared about one of my younger one's climbing into it & being shut in. The manufacturer recommends that you leave the door open when not in use to air the unit out...this always made me nervous!!

There has been a tragic accident in a town very near where we live.

As soon as I heard about this, I headed off to Babies-R-Us to see what I could find to lock our washer and look what I found.... lock This thing is phenominal...it is spring loaded so if you open the door and want to leave it open, the lock automatically clicks down and the door can only be shut if you unlock the device and lock it again. LOVE IT!!! It's a must have!!!

Anything to help keep these little boogers out!!!

Look who's....

...riding a TWO wheel bike...

Daddy took him out 2 times and today he just took off...turning and braking and all!! "I" is very excited to be the youngest amongst our kiddos to learn how to ride a 2-wheel bike. He is a crack up...just look at his huge smile. GO BABY, GO!!! We are so proud of you!

Praising our Lord!

We just received good news...the test results from P's CT scan and cancer blood tests all came back NORMAL. Woohoo...talk about a sigh of relief. Thank you, Lord, for protecting my honey!

Now, we wait for his 2nd scope in a few weeks (tentatively set for Feb. 19th but may be sooner). She will biopsy the area the large polyp was found. Please continue to pray that there is no cancer in the wall/lining & that everything comes back normal.

After we disposed of the poor creature, daddy asked, "Where did your bug go?" S replied ever-so calmly, "At church."

Small update...

Here's an update :)

~not much on the job front, yet

~We met with the GI dr. on Wednesday and I was a little surprised by that visit. She said the findings were definitely worrisome. She did say that the larger polyp had NO cancer cells in it (which really surprised her) but that it was not a matter of IF but a matter of WHEN that it would have turned into cancer. It was the in last stage before it would have turn to cancer.

She originally told us that she wanted to check that area in 3 months to make sure it had healed properly but because of her findings, she didn't want to wait any more than 6 weeks after his first colonscopy. She wants to biopsy the entire area for more cancer cells. She ordered cancer blood tests (he did those thurs.) and a CT scan of his abdomen and pelvic area (did that fri.). She doesn't expect to find anything but she wants to be thorough.

The thing that bothered me the most was when Paul confirmed the size of the polyp (4cm) she kept saying, "Yes, it was very, very large." Paul asked how long she thought it had been growing (mind you, we had been told many years by a different doctor) and she said months NOT years :( Sooooo....that's what's been going on :)

I WILL be posting a much lighter post soon...something to do with a little blond-haired, blue-eyed girl and a cricket...hehehe....
